After returning this week from my staycation, courtesy of COVID-19, I set to work migrating the first app from my personal account to our newly created service account. Finally, I will no longer have to check connections in a quarterly basis when my password needs updating.
The migration process involved:
- Assigning ownership for power automate flows to the service account
- Updating the flow to then swap the connections away from personal to the service account ones
- Updating the PowerApp ownership to the service account
So far I’ve only migrated the smaller of or two apps, the more complex service desk app with its multiple flows and SharePoint lists. The process isn’t too painful, thankfully, but I do need to be thorough in ensuring all flows are swapped out.
